OH HOW WE PONDER… MY THOUGHTS THIS EVENING!
This page of writing started off as a little rant to myself but I quite liked where I was going with the whole growing and learning idea so it’s now a short essay for you to enjoy over yet another glass of wine!!
“I’M STILL LEARNING.”
Michelangelo at 87
How does it make you feel when you can’t understand someone or something?
Does frustration and negativity pulse through your body?
Have you learnt to savour the feeling that you will never fully understand anyone because you are always learning and so you may as well, shrug your shoulders and say “It’s one of those” and work on how you can improve yourself?
Can you accept that the only feeling you can control and the only mind you can truly change is your own?
I do love coming across people from all walks of life, from different cultures; people from all sorts of job backgrounds, people with different hobbies to me and so on. But sometimes it’s hard to anchor yourself when you feel and act very differently to some people, knowing that they don’t like certain aspects of your personality or the way you do things and vice versa.
Im starting to realise that every single person shapes their own destiny whether they are trying to or not… None of us is given anything that we haven’t worked for or deserved and it is all manoeuvred by the wonderful land we call Earth. Each of us has a place and is given permission from the universe to create, grow and evolve our futures. Negative and positive vibes are distributed with each movement or noise we make and with these movements and noise we receive back what we have given in abundance.
But this isn’t to say we should never give off negative emotions because they are important, especially when they bulldoze their way into our lives in the shape of anxiety and frustration. They are a reminder of how vulnerable we are and help us understand that our reality won’t always be what we thought it would be. Yes it would be wonderful if we could always have bubbles of positivity around us. I’ve found some of the more profound lessons in my life so far have been those memories I wish to forget but I know in my heart that they are the ones that have given me morals, patience, empathy and they’ve given me inner strength and possibly a bit of wisdom.
I guess what I really mean is, understand from a distance. Take a step back and learn how others learn, grow, evolve and react. It’s not an easy task, as you will question how you do things constantly, but i’m a firm believer in the idea that you will know deep deep down whether you have reacted correctly or wrongly overacted. You can only do the best you can do, you were not put on this Earth to please everyone or be remotely like them. Your make up is complicated enough that you should focus on knowing “YOU” inside out before you start dissecting the person next to you. Most importantly there is no such thing as perfect, so allow for trial and error; have fun with it.
